Made from 100% Espadeiro - an extremely old native Spanish grape - and from vines that are aged from 30 to over 200 years old, this is remarkably like pinot noir in its character, appearance and taste.
With only a tiny quantity - less than 600 bottles - made each year it is only available to Red Bridge due to a friendship with the owners and not normally available for sale.
Medium cherry red, with a violet rim. Medium intensity on the nose of forest berries (blackberry and black cherry), forest floor, coffee and minerality. Freshness dominates thanks to the Atlantic character of this wine, with excellent acidity, hints of flowers, and great balance.
