Monastrell
Monastrell in its native Spain, Mourvedre in France and Mataro in California and Australia is a black-skinned grape which has been grown around the western Mediterranean for centuries.
The combination of extremely old vines, very arid ground and high altitude in the Jumilla region of south-eastern Spain produces wines of great richness and depth with a wide range of flavours including matured fruit, coffee and light spices.
